Awards and Public Recognition

Initiatives such as our corporate-wide purchase of wind power, recycling of used cooking oil into biodiesel and our composting and recycling programs are based around the belief that it is good business to adopt practices that are good for the local community and environment.

While we are not in business to be recognized with awards, we are grateful for the acknowledgments that have been bestowed upon as by organizations across the country. It is our desire that recognition for service to community and the environment will allow Burgerville to continue to serve as an inspiration to other businesses.

Tom Mears was selected as the 2007 winner of the FCSI “Trendsetter Award” for his commitment to purchasing fresh, local and sustainable products, and a commitment to the environment through all of Burgerville’s initiatives.

Honoring Burgerville’s commitment to health care and benefits for employees, partnering with Kaiser for healthier food choices, use of trans fat free oils and purchasing fresh, local and sustainable foods.

Burgerville won this award for our great-tasting burgers and our commitment to fresh, local and sustainable practices in making the “Best Better Burger.”

Willamette Week’s Best of Portland Award: Best “Cheap” Burger
Burgerville won this “readers choice” award for having the best burger for a quick service/fast casual restaurant in the Portland area.
